Blasting out a couple pictures here. They just introduced the staff of the Aspen Grove Apple Store. The reservations are now in the store paying for their devices. We’ll be getting in shortly. Here’s some pictures.

Apple Just removed the black curtains from the front of the store… we have a picture of the display for you! It’s actually the same on both sides here at Aspen Grove.

UPDATE: 7:53 AM

Just got confirmation from the Apple Store staff: Find my iPad will be available to mobile me customers. Feel free to lose it. Or not. The WiFi version will work with triangulation, but it will obviously be better for the 3G models. We were also handed a sheet of accessories and a warning, “Some may not be available yet.” No real surprise there, most of the accessories have been delayed until May, but we are hearing that there is a very limited supply of the Apple branded iPad case. We’re also seeing products from Incase, Belkin, Speck, Hard Candy, and others.

UPDATE: 6:30 AM

2 Lines have been formed. One for the iPad reservations and one for those of us who haven’t reserved the device. Obviously the Purchases Line is longer than the reservations. Most of us like to live on the wild side I suppose. The store manager has been out to talk us through the typical structure. Numbers have been given with most of us in line guaranteed an iPad. Apple supposedly sent out more iPads to the stores than initially thought.

UPDATE: 2:22 AM

The first group of fanboys, I’m mean this endearingly, have showed up tent and all. They came prepared and make me look like a girl scout. Hunter of The Mac Daddy consulting and two of his friends (Kyle and Brandon) are now 3rd place in line for the iPad this morning. Apple is hard at work inside setting everything up. We’re having fun and, in the typical Apple style, watching John Mayer’s live concert “Where the Light Is.”

UPDATE: 12:45 AM

This is actually from a bit earlier… we just wanted to get the liveblog started before we posted anything else. Starting at 5 AM, the Apple Store will be providing refreshments for the crowd that shows up here at the store. We also have AMP, root beer, water, dew, orange soda and dr. pepper for the people who show up prior to 5 AM. Oh, and coffee.

CTA is in line and taking names… well, pictures. Newest updates at the top, scroll down for the earlier stuff.

Josh, the editor of this here site, is outside of the Aspen Grove Apple Store and saying, “Hello” to the Apple employees setting up the visuals switch. The windows are covered by thick, black curtains (You’d have to be 7 feet tall and jumping to see over them). It’s 1am here and they’re all rolling in to tackle the extreme task of remaking the store for the iPad. I’ve done the switch before, it’s no easy task and it usually ends up in a few finishing details at the last minute. We’ve also noticed the beefed up security for the event: a “mall cop” security guy for the line and a few armed police officers inside. That’s not necessarily normal, but in an exposed store like this, a very welcome addition to the early morning… especially for the employees. Josh is also representing Rocky Mountain Mac Repair, so if you’re a reader from our sister site or a Denver Apple user, be sure to come out and say, “Hi.”

We’ll be updating this post on a regular basis when more people show up or things of more interest happen. We thought about doing a liveblog on the live.cocoatouchapps.com website but figured that this probably doesn’t warrant that necessity. Updates will pop up as we need them, but not every minute. Right now, we’re number 2 in line (A family is sleeping in their Apple-TV-tricked-out Honda SUV) but expect more people to start hanging out with us very soon.
